Affiliate Manager
The Affiliate Manager we are looking for is more than just a salesperson, an account manager, a customer service specialist, or an affiliate manager with a little black book. There is an immediate need for an experienced individual with the attitude, aptitude and agility to make a difference. We need somebody that legitimately wants to add value to the business and develop their own skillset.
How will the Affiliate Manager add value? There is no definitive answer to this question, but it will undoubtedly require somebody with a wide range of skills. Not only do you have to talk the talk; you also need to walk the walk. From identifying new opportunities, sourcing leads and prospects, closing financially sound deals, and managing affiliates and campaigns from inception through to profitable success, the role will allow a high level of ownership and accountability. It will also require a very strong ability to monitor and analyze the profitability of said affiliates and campaigns, and to make
intelligent and considered decisions based on this.
What you’ll be doing
- Research and identify target cohorts through the use of multiple tools and resources
- Define strategies and tactics to recruit and onboard new partners efficiently and effectively across key partner types: SEO/webmasters, deal sites, streamers, influencers, communities, and networks.
- Negotiate mutually beneficial deals with partners in order to satisfy business targets and requirements
- Engage with various internal resources (e.g. marketing operations, conversion optimization, commercial management) to ensure the necessary acquisition and conversion funnels are created, tested and implemented for all necessary targets
- Monitor and report on all key performance metrics, for all relevant segments, including Return on Investment, Conversion Rates, Acquisition, Attrition and Retention
- Optimization of existing deals on an ongoing basis to maximize profitability, sustainably but quickly
- Build and maintain solid affiliate and partner relationships
- Communicate issues and performance summaries effectively to colleagues, peers and managers
- Creation, compilation and presentation of pertinent reports for senior management, executive management and board when required
Who we are looking for?
This position is not a junior role, and requires a good level of experience in digital marketing, and affiliate management.
The successful applicant will ideally have the following:
- 3+ years’ experience in the online gaming industry, preferably in an affiliate management role
- Esports knowledge will be a big advantage
- Familiarity of cryptocurrencies
- Management of KOLs, influencers and streamers
- Self-sufficient approach to working – guidance and management will be provided, but autonomy and decisiveness is expected
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the core business metrics and KPIs
- Ability to interpret, analyze and present data and results to colleagues, peers and managers in engaging and meaningful ways
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and/or projects simultaneously within a complex organization
- Excellent negotiation and account management skills
- Solid experience and knowledge of online tracking (cookies, HTML tags, postbacks, dynamic parameters, etc.)
- Experience with various online resources and tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, VPN tools, Whois, etc.) is advantageous
- Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage
- Travel may be required to attend conferences or meetings approximately 2-3 weeks per year
