DevOps Engineer

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer. The DevOps project you will be working on is still in a relatively early stage of development, which gives you significant opportunity to influence the technological solutions, as well as help shape the processes and work organization.

Location
This offer is intended for candidates based in or around the Tricity area (Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot).
We don’t require a constant presence in the office, but the candidate should be available to come in twice a week.

What you‘ll be doing?

As part of your role, you will be responsible for:

• Automating infrastructure on AWS cloud using IaC (Terraform)
• Developing existing automation for managing Kubernetes clusters, primarily using EKS
• Expanding CI/CD automation in a GitOps approach using GitLab (Python), ArgoCD, and Helm
• Migrating existing applications or deploying new ones to Kubernetes/EKS clusters
• Performing Kubernetes/EKS version upgrades and updates to related infrastructure components
• Monitoring and maintaining the production environment of a live system
• Supporting developers in solving day-to-day technical challenges
• Participating in brainstorming sessions around application and infrastructure architecture
• Continuously developing your skills and sharing knowledge with other team members and developers

Our stack includes: ArgoCD, AWS, GitLab, Grafana, Kubernetes/EKS, Prometheus, Terraform

Who We Are Looking For?

We’re looking for someone who has:

• At least 3 years of commercial experience in the DevOps/Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) field
• Experience with building infrastructure using the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) paradigm with one of the major cloud providers (AWS preferred)
• Experience in creating and/or maintaining Kubernetes clusters
• Experience with migrating existing applications and deploying new ones to Kubernetes clusters
• Solid understanding of observability concepts in Kubernetes-based environments
• Good knowledge of Linux systems
• Strong grasp of CI/CD principles
• Good working knowledge of Python, sufficient for writing scripts, Lambda functions, and CI/CD automation
• A high level of independence and ownership
• A passion for learning new technologies, implementing new solutions, and a growth-oriented mindset
• English proficiency at a minimum B2 level (upper-intermediate)

Project Description

This is a DevOps project in a relatively early stage of development.
There is a strong opportunity to influence technological decisions. Currently, the infrastructure stack includes:

• AWS cloud services (CloudFront, EC2, EKS, IAM Identity Center, Lambda, RDS, S3, WAF)
• Kubernetes-based solutions for automating application maintenance (e.g., External-DNS, Amazon Load Balancer Controller, etc.)
• ArgoCD
• GitLab
• Prometheus/Grafana

Development-side tech stack:

• .NET 8
• Node.js
• MySQL
• PostgreSQL
• Redis

Future plans:

• Migrating applications to Kubernetes
• Provisioning new environments
• Expanding monitoring and observability
• Building a log aggregation solution
• Enabling autoscaling for Kubernetes pods and worker nodes
• Improving business continuity procedures (e.g., disaster recovery)
