Senior Test Automation Engineer

As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated tests for an esports platform. The role covers backend and frontend testing, analysing testing needs, and supporting both tech and product teams in delivering high-quality solutions.

You will take part in technology projects, improve test automation processes, and ensure the stability and reliability of the platform. Sharing technical knowledge and best practices in test automation is also an important part of how we work together.

We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with independence, a strong sense of ownership over quality, and a collaborative approach to building digital products in a fast-moving esports environment.

What you‘ll be doing

As part of your role, you will be responsible for:

• The full spectrum of QA, with a focus on preparing and automating test scenarios and cases
• Test automation in C#
• Setting up and maintaining test environments
• Describing and diagnosing bugs and their root causes
• Analysing documentation
• Knowledge sharing
• Proposing solutions and tools
• Collaborating with the development team to improve code quality
• Implementing test automation strategies and mentoring the team

Who are we looking for?

• 4+ years of commercial experience in software testing
• Strong knowledge of C# and design patterns
• Experience in test automation in C# or another object-oriented language
• Experience building test frameworks in C#
• Experience designing and implementing automated test architecture for API and UI
• Experience in refactoring and optimising tests for performance and stability
• Experience with acceptance, regression, smoke, sanity, and performance testing
• Experience with Playwright (e.g. end-to-end tests, integration with reporting tools)
• Experience in API testing (contract testing, mocking with WireMock)
• Experience developing testing strategies in CI/CD teams (smoke, regression, integration tests)
• Experience managing tests in a microservices architecture
• Good knowledge of Git
• Knowledge of SQL
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts
• Strong soft skills: independence, initiative, and good communication
• English at an intermediate level
• Experience in analysing test metrics and optimising test coverage
• A passion for learning new technologies and growing domain knowledge
• Ability and willingness to share knowledge
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Familiarity with agile methodologies: Scrum, Kanban
